When you meet a Facebook expert, he will tell you that you should use Facebook for your marketing.

Every expert will tell you that their domain is very important and they are very successful in their domains, earning 6-figure income, etc. They are not wrong and their income are proved that they are doing well, if they are validated. But the problem with the Social Media, Amazon, Google, email marketing experts is telling only you half of the story. What they didn't tell you is that you are at the mercy of these giants. If you fall out of favor with them, they will abandon you. I have heard stories of Facebook accounts of LinkedIn experts being closed, websites that fell out of favor with Google. It doesn't matter how much time and effort you have spend in using their tools. So long as you are using their platform, you are at their mercy and you have to play by their rules.

So what should you do if you are doing an online business? Start your own website and build your brand on your own. Developed a digital asset that nobody can take away. You own the domain, the intellectual property of the content and you are not at the mercy of these giants. If you are not happy with a web host, move your digital asset to another. It's yours to keep.

So why do we need Social Media platforms, Google and Youtube for? To generate traffic to your website and build your personal content and brand that you own 100%.

This means that you need to have a website, right? Use WordPress and host it somewhere. Don't use any free websites. Own it so that you have every right to the content.
