The most important asset when you start online, as a business or an individual, is your domain name. It is the only asset owned by you and cannot be taken away by anyone, social media platforms, blogging software. Nobody can take it away from you by restricting your access to it.

What can a domain name do? If you are reading this, you will notice that the address is jason-khoo.com. That is my domain name. You can create a website with it, or use it for blogging, create an online shop, store pictures. I use it for my website, plus blogging.
